Subject : Human Rights Boards’
Reforms

Ankara, 04. 04. 2008

THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
(The Presidency of the Human Rights Board of the Province)
As it is known, Human Rights Boards have been in charge according to the decree in 2003. After five years of experience we have come across some faults and difficulties.
Taking this into consideration, our Presidency commenced a reform process in order that the Boards can work more efficient and effectively. In this regard there is a need for the views and reform proposals of the Boards themselves and the heads of the Boards; the governors.
Therefore we kindly request;
1- The issue to be discussed and “the reform proposals for the Boards” to be prepared at the first coming meeting of the Boards by officially informing also the Boards at the sub-provinces,
2- The opinions to be sent by email to ali.yener@icisleri.gov.tr or to ynrterme@yahoo.com by 2 May 2008 and also these opinions to be faxed to our Presidency as well.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Tahsin Fendoğlu
On Behalf of The Prime Minister
Director of Human Rights Presidency
